"Horrible balance. Some character groups are so bad that you have to grind to progress in the story. Some groups are so good that you breeze through their story. Story is eh, gameplay is brutal at times, graphics is eh, music is classic, too many characters and not enough development. Game feels nostalgia but the game is a shell of FF4."

"There is a lot to like about the sequel to FFIV. The inclusion of Bands, the alterations of the moon changing the value of your tactics, the plethora of characters... however, playing this game just feels like a huge slog. Each of the character chapters revisit a lot of the same dungeons over and over - leading to a lot of repetition. The final dungeon in the final chapter is very similar to this, though somewhat mitigated by the bosses you get to fight. Nostalgia aside, this killed time only."

"I don't like the active time battle system. Wish there was a way to turn it off completely. Also, there is so much time wasted running around looking for where to go next as there is nothing to point you to the next location of the story."
